Internships
ICT Group values the exceptional talents and innovative ideas of college students in the workplace. Our year-round internship program is designed to offer students the opportunity to use their abilities and gain professional work experience in various areas of our business, including IT, sales and marketing, quality assurance, licensing, finance, human resources and client services.
ICT Group is seeking college students for the internship positions listed below. Each of these internships is a paid position. Sophomore, junior, or senior level students are preferred, majoring in either business, computer science or liberal arts/communications, depending on the position.
Successful candidates should be competent in MS Office (including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and various other PC-based software applications) and possess basic Internet navigation and/or research experience as well.
Systems/IT Internship:
The systems/IT intern will be exposed to all areas of advanced systems development and Internet/Web services. Successful candidates for this position should be knowledgeable about the following applications/programming languages: NT/95 Operating Systems, Networking, HTML/JavaScript, Java and Visual Basic.
Sales and Marketing Internship: The sales and marketing intern will assist the Corporate Marketing Communications and Sales Communications staffs in coordinating the following activities:
- Coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Assembling, printing and binding RFP documents
- Researching, verifying and writing information for new files to be used in RFP responses
- Assisting in maintaining the sales and marketing client/prospect database
- Maintaining the collateral/literature supply and managing inventory on a continual basis
- Assisting the trade show/special events coordinator
- Distributing press releases and other internal communications
- Assisting with various direct mail campaigns
Quality Assurance Internship:
The quality assurance intern will work together with the Vice President of Quality Assurance to improve the reporting of QA monitoring statistics and performance management reports. This person will also help with the development of a training program for QARs (Quality Assurance Representatives) and QA supervisors. Additionally, the QA intern will assist in organizing, tracking and reporting regularly scheduled ISO-9001:2000 maintenance and certification audits for the Company.
Finance Internship:
Through hands-on experience with multiple finance/accounting projects, the finance intern will gain a thorough understanding of the specific job duties of the finance department and its functions. Initially, the intern will spend time working in each of the functional areas of this department, learning the necessary skills to complete later job functions/duties. As the intern grasps the specific skills needed, he/she will spend more time in those areas in which a particular strength is exhibited or interest lies.
Human Resources Internship: The human resources intern will assist the Corporate Human Resources staff in coordinating the following activities:
- New hire interviewing and orientation process
- Employee relations investigations
- Entering information into the Company’s benefits and ADP software
Client Services Project Coordinator: The client services project coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Client Services department in all aspects of program management. Specific responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the design and implementation of new programs as well as the daily management of various program-related tasks and duties
- Communicating with various internal corporate departments associated with a client's program as well as outside vendors
The successful project coordinator intern candidate must be process oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and a logical thinker. This candidate must also possess above average PC skills.
